Delta Machinery Manufacturers Information
Delta Machinery has stood at no one for its quality since 1919; this was the year the company was founded by Mr. Herbert Tautz. He started working out of his one-car garage in Milwaukee; Tautz set out to design and build new tools to alleviate the challenges of woodworking. The firm was known as, "The Delta Specialty Company." The first Delta tool was also the world's first scroll saw. Few other early most famous and commonly used delta tools were an all-in-one tool that included a lathe, disc sander, and scroll saw, all packaged with a high quality electric motor. Innovations like this Delta tool, which was called the "HandiShop" and certainly lived up to its name, made Delta tools some of the |

most popular of the time. The Delta tool company, which was then called "The Delta Specialty Company", was also one of the first companies to specialize in band saws, becoming an industry leader even in the 1930s when the world was deep in the depression.

Delta Machinery now focuses on two product lines. The Delta ShopMaster line includes a variety of different saws and drills for the amateur woodworker. Delta ShopMaster tools range from powerful cordless drills to compressors and bench saws. The many great tools produced by Delta Machinery offer options for both hobby woodworkers and professional carpenters and woodworkers. Throughout the company's history, Delta Tool Company has maintained a healthy balance of innovation and durability. Delta provides quality woodworking tools and products that make the work of journeymen and professional craftsmen easier. Delta’s saws have become a woodworking icon of sorts, and for good reason. They’re powerful, precise and reliable, a reputation earned over many years. DELTA Machinery is considered the premium brand of professional woodworking tools. |
