Delta Machinery Manufacturers Information

Delta Machinery has stood at no one for its quality since 1919; this was the year the company was founded by Mr. Herbert Tautz. He started working out of his one-car garage in Milwaukee; Tautz set out to design and build new tools to alleviate the challenges of woodworking. The firm was known as, "The Delta Specialty Company." The first Delta tool was also the world's first scroll saw. Few other early most famous and commonly used delta tools were an all-in-one tool that included a lathe, disc sander, and scroll saw, all packaged with a high quality electric motor. Innovations like this Delta tool, which was called the "HandiShop" and certainly lived up to its name, made Delta tools some of the

most popular of the time. The Delta tool company, which was then called "The Delta Specialty Company", was also one of the first companies to specialize in band saws, becoming an industry leader even in the 1930s when the world was deep in the depression.
