Miter Saw Guide |
| Miter Saw which is also known as 'Chop Saw' is a tool to make accurate crosscuts. It is used to make precise compound angle cut at the end of a piece of stock.
Miter saw have blades from 8'' to 12'' in diameter, although larger blades are also available. Most users find the 10'' blade perfectly adequate because 8'' blade is just not enough to make cut on 6'' piece of stock on a 45 degree miter.
A Compound Miter saw can be angled up to 45 degree either to left or right. Some Miter saw have an additional slide feature, after sinking the saw into the material the blade may be pushed or pulled through the wood. |
